Global Policy Business (GPB)

Global Business Policy (GBP) is your platform to step into the world of international policy, corporate strategy and governance. Participants will experience a structured, two-round simulation where research, negotiation and leadership come together to create actionable solutions that could shape global policy outcomes.

In this simulation, each participant will be assigned a character related to their committee. You may represent a company, government body, or regulatory authority relevant to your committee's focus. As a character, you are expected to role-play, debate and advocate for your assigned organization, making decisions that align with its strategy and objectives. Character assignments will be shared before the segment begins, allowing participants to prepare for their role effectively.

Registration Fee: 250৳

Rounds:

Round 1: Debate Round

• An agenda will be assigned in the committee room. Participants will debate the issue and marks will be awarded based on debate performance.

Round 2: Policy Adoption Round

• Focuses on policy adoption. Participants collaborate to pass a policy by majority agreement in the room. Marks will be given based on both the ability to pass the policy and individual debating skills.

Scoring:

• Final scores are calculated by combining Round 1 debate marks and Round 2 policy and debate marks. The participant with the highest total will be declared the winner.

Contest Rules:

1. All discussions and debates must be conducted only in the English language.

2. GBP consists of two rounds. All participants attend both rounds; no elimination takes place.

3. Each participant will be assigned a committee-related character and is expected to role-play and debate from that perspective.

4. Character assignments and participants' allotted committees will be shared via email before the segment begins.

5. Attendance in the committee room is mandatory for both rounds.

6. The slots are limited. Only 90 participants can register.

7. The decision of the judges and organizing committee will be final and binding.

- Best Policy Maker Title

• All participants will be awarded a Certificate of Participation.
